Refund & Cancellation Policy
At WowMySQL, we strive to provide exceptional database hosting services. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds may be issued for our subscription plans and services.
Customer Satisfaction Guarantee
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for all new paid subscriptions to ensure you're completely satisfied with our service.
1. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
✅ Eligible for Full Refund:
- NEW customers subscribing to Pro, Business, or Enterprise plans
- Refund requested within 7 days of initial subscription payment
- First-time subscription ONLY (not applicable to renewals or auto-renewals)
- No violations of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy
❌ NOT Eligible for Money-Back Guarantee:
- Free plan users (no payment involved)
- Subscription renewals or auto-renewals (important - see below)
- Requests made after 7 days from initial payment
- Deleted projects or databases (data deletion is irreversible)
- Accounts suspended or terminated for policy violations
- Domain names, SSL certificates, or third-party services
Important: Renewal Policy
Renewal subscriptions are NOT eligible for refunds. This means:
- •If your subscription auto-renews (monthly or yearly), you cannot get a refund
- •If you cancel a renewal, you will keep access until the end of the paid period
- •Example: If you cancel on Day 5 of a renewed monthly plan, you keep access for the remaining 25 days
💡 Tip: You can cancel anytime before renewal to avoid charges. Your access continues until the end of the current period.
1.5. RDS Instance Refund Policy
📊 Important: RDS Instances are Separate from Subscription Plans
RDS instances are premium dedicated database servers that you can purchase separately as a top-up to any subscription plan. They have different refund rules than subscription plans.
How RDS Billing Works:
- Billed hourly based on usage (calculated from purchase to cancellation)
- Monthly cost displayed, but charged based on actual hours used
- Separate payment from your subscription plan
- Can be purchased after subscribing to Pro, Business, or Enterprise plans
RDS Refund Eligibility:
✅ RDS Refunds ARE Available:
- Pro-rated refunds based on unused hours (calculated hourly)
- Cancellation anytime - You pay only for hours used
- Server upgrades/downgrades - Unused credits applied to new server
- Automatic calculation - System calculates exact refund amount
❌ RDS Refunds NOT Available For:
- Project deletion - If you delete the project, RDS charges are non-refundable
- Data migration costs - Time spent migrating data is billable
- Backup restore charges - Backup operations are separate charges
Example RDS Refund Calculation:
Scenario: You purchase an RDS instance for $50/month but cancel after 10 days
- • Monthly cost: $50.00
- • Hourly rate: $50 ÷ 730 hours = $0.0685/hour
- • Hours used: 10 days × 24 hours = 240 hours
- • Consumed amount: 240 × $0.0685 = $16.44
- • Refundable amount: $50 - $16.44 = $33.56
✓ You get $33.56 refunded automatically!
2. Server Upgrade/Downgrade Policy
When you upgrade or downgrade your RDS server configuration, we calculate pro-rated credits and charges fairly:
How It Works:
- Unused credit from old server is calculated based on remaining days in billing period
- New server cost is calculated for the remaining days
- Balance is either charged (upgrade) or credited (downgrade)
- All calculations are automatic - you'll see the exact amount before confirming
Example Upgrade Scenario:
Scenario: Upgrade from $30/month server to $60/month server with 15 days remaining
- • Old server daily rate: $30 ÷ 30 = $1.00/day
- • New server daily rate: $60 ÷ 30 = $2.00/day
- • Unused credit from old: 15 days × $1 = $15.00 credit
- • New server cost: 15 days × $2 = $30.00 charge
- • Balance to pay: $30 - $15 = $15.00
💳 You only pay the difference: $15.00
Example Downgrade Scenario:
Scenario: Downgrade from $60/month to $30/month with 20 days remaining
- • Old server daily rate: $60 ÷ 30 = $2.00/day
- • New server daily rate: $30 ÷ 30 = $1.00/day
- • Unused credit from old: 20 days × $2 = $40.00 credit
- • New server cost: 20 days × $1 = $20.00 charge
- • Balance (credit): $40 - $20 = $20.00
✓ You receive $20.00 credit to your account!
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 How to Cancel:
- Log in to your WowMySQL dashboard
- Navigate to Profile → Billing & Subscription
- Click "Cancel Subscription" and follow the prompts
- You'll receive a confirmation email within 24 hours
3.2 Effect of Cancellation:
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
- You will retain access to all features until the subscription expires
- Auto-renewal will be disabled—no further charges will occur
- After expiration, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan
3.3 Pro-rated Refunds (After 7 Days):
After the 7-day money-back guarantee period, subscription cancellations may be eligible for pro-rated refunds within 30 days of subscription. Refund amount is calculated based on unused days in your billing cycle.
Cancellations do NOT result in refunds for the remaining time in your billing cycle, except under the 7-day money-back guarantee or extraordinary circumstances outlined below.
3. Refunds for Service Outages (SLA Credits)
We guarantee 99.9% uptime for paid plans. If we fail to meet this commitment, you may be eligible for service credits:

Claiming SLA Credits:
- Submit a claim within 30 days of the incident
- Provide details of the outage and impact on your service
- Credits are issued as account credits, not cash refunds
- Excludes scheduled maintenance and outages caused by factors outside our control
4. Refunds for Extraordinary Circumstances
In rare cases, we may issue refunds outside of the standard policy:
- •Billing Errors: If you were incorrectly charged due to a system error, we will issue a full refund immediately.
- •Service Unavailability: If we discontinue a service or feature that was central to your subscription.
- •Data Loss: If we cause significant data loss due to our negligence (subject to our backup and liability policies).
- •Medical/Emergency: Documented medical emergencies or extenuating circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
5. Refund Processing Time
Timeline:
- Approval: Refund requests are reviewed within 2-3 business days
- Processing: Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
- Bank Credit: Your bank or card issuer may take an additional 3-10 business days to reflect the credit
Refund Method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the subscription.
6. How to Request a Refund

- 2.Provide Details: Include your account email, subscription plan, and reason for the refund request
- 3.Await Response: Our billing team will review and respond within 2-3 business days
- 4.Confirmation: If approved, you'll receive a confirmation email with expected processing time
7. Chargebacks & Disputes
⚠️ Important Notice
If you dispute a charge with your bank or credit card company (chargeback) without first contacting us:
- Your account will be immediately suspended
- All services and data access will be terminated
- You may be liable for chargeback fees and penalties
- Future services may be restricted
